Judith Bell trained initially in Brighton before gaining a BA in Textiles at the Winchester College of Art.

Her more recent work has included a number of commissions for hangings and falls for churches of different traditions, both in the UK and abroad.

Drawing inspiration from the material world, she is fascinated by textural surface and colour. Judith's work evolves with new experiences and she is currently engaged in the development of original techniques in mixed media.

She has been involved in adult education in numerous institutions, and is currently the course tutor for the City and Guilds Creative Embroidery and Feltmaking courses at Southampton City College.
