Cath
studied textiles at Central Saint Martins and Winchester School
of Art. She employs a wide variety of media and techniques to create
her drawing, textile and three dimensional work for gallery display
and publication. Cath's work draws its inspiration from a rich variety
of sources, ranging from childhood experiences growing up i n Africa
and India, to traditional European fairy tales and folk stories.
The creation of characters and narrative are increasingly important
in her work and she is currently using fabric based techniques to
illustrate the remarkable story of an African Grey Parrot called
Koba, who escapes from smugglers in Kenya to live with a German
Princess. |
